Why Portraits?
People are beautiful. I didn't always believe that statement. As an introverted creative, I struggled opening up with and connecting with others, but photography changed that for me. In my photographic journey, I began to see the ins and outs of the human individual. Every facial expression, every perfect imperfection, led me closer to actually seeing beauty in the individuals that I photograph. My portraits sessions last anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours. Often I sit and connect with my clients before ever picking up my camera. I want to know the people I photograph and create a portrait session around the interests and personality of each human I photograph. My hope is that through my photography, individuals discover the natural beauty they poses.
